Why Include The Great Tapestry of Scotland

The Great Tapestry of Scotland is one of the world’s largest community textile artworks, made up of 160 intricately stitched panels that together tell the story of Scotland’s rich history and heritage. Created by over 1,000 skilled stitchers from across the country, it stands as a remarkable example of collaborative craftsmanship. The tapestry is housed in the Scottish Borders, making it an easily accessible cultural destination within close reach of Edinburgh.
