We look forward to welcoming you and your learners to our award-winning visitor centre soon.

For self-led visits, entry is £5.00 per learner for under 17s.

For those in P4 – S2 we can offer education packages for £10 per learner based around the following topics:

  • A History of Scotland Workshop
  • Scottish Culture and Gaelic
  • Scottish Wars of Independence Workshop
  • Scotland’s Place in the World
  • Early Scots Workshop
  • The Jacobites

These include the half day (10.00am – 12.00pm or 1pm – 3.00pm) use of a room, an introductory talk about the tapestry, a lesson and activities based around the history found within the Tapestry from a Tapestry member of staff.

We can provide alternative lessons for older age groups or hands on sewing workshops and creative writing workshops on request so please get in touch to discuss further options.

Accompanying adults are free of charge in the following ratios for pre-booked groups:

  • 1 adult: 6 pupils for Primary 1–3
  • 1 adult: 8 pupils for Primary 4–7
  • 1 adult: 10 pupils for secondary schools, university and colleges
  • Specialist Provisions: 1 adult per pupil if required.
