The Shop

Take a piece of scotland's story home - inspired gifts for every visitor

Step into our gift shop and discover a carefully curated collection inspired by the Great Tapestry of Scotland. From beautifully designed stationery and exclusive embroidery kits to thoughtfully chosen books and distinctive gifts, every item has been created or selected to reflect the rich storytelling and heritage at the heart of our exhibition.

You’ll also find a range of locally sourced Scottish products, celebrating the creativity and craftsmanship of makers from across the region.

Whether you’re searching for a meaningful souvenir or the perfect gift for someone special, our shop offers something unique to mark your visit and help you take a piece of Scotland’s story home with you.

Every purchase you make directly supports the preservation of the Great Tapestry of Scotland, helping us protect and share this remarkable national treasure for generations to come.

Other items, including some featuring panels from The Great Tapestry of Scotland include:

  • Stationary: A selection of postcards, notebooks, greeting cards and calendars with a selection of panels and designs from the Tapestry, unique to our gift shop.
  • Souvenirs: Ceramics, pocket mirrors, jigsaws, posters, tea towels and aprons.
  • Tapestry embroidery kits: Our embroidery kits include Appletons yarn, pre-drawn design on a tote bag and needle. Receive our kit the same way the stitchers would have back in 2011 and create an embroidery with your choice of stitches.
  • Tote bag: Look out for our new uniquely designed tote bag, depicting the Tapestry Building and adjoining old post office building, illustrated by local artist Kimberley Harrison. Sharing how the old post office, that was opened in 1894, and our Tapestry building, that was opened in 2021, sit together today on the high street.
  • Stitcher’s 1000 Gin: Locally distilled by Selkirk Gin, our Gin is refreshing and served perfectly with your favourite tonic water, a sprig of Rosemary or a slice of cucumber.
