Sustainability

Sustainability

At the Great Tapestry of Scotland, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact. We align with the UN Paris Agreement, aiming to limit global warming to well below 2°C, with a push towards 1.5°C by 2030. By focusing on key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we aim to minimise negative effects and maximise positive outcomes:

Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation.

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalise the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.

Find out how we aim to support these goals below:

Committed to achieving Net Zero by 2045, we embrace a holistic approach that nurtures the environment, economy, and community. Through innovation, collaboration, responsible resource management, meaningful interventions and implementing the triple bottom line framework, we aim to champion circular economy principles and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
