On Saturday 14th June the finalists of the 300 Words Story Writing Competition gathered at the Borders Book Festival for an exciting event to discover who the winners of the Great Tapestry of Scotland’s 300 Words Story Writing Competition were!
Everyone at the Great Tapestry of Scotland, and our judge, Mairi Kidd, were overwhelmed with the outstanding quality of all the stories received and it was an incredibly difficult job to select just one winner from each category.
We would like to congratulate all the children that entered the competition. You should all be incredibly proud of your amazing writing and achievements.
After much deliberation, Mairi Kidd selected the following as the winning stories for our 300 Words Story Writing Competition:
Category 7 – 9
Winner:
Whale
By Isacc Lammie
Category 10 – 12
Winner:
The Scots of Skye
By Jonathon Nixon
Category 13 – 15
Winner:
Mary, Queen of Opps
By Kourtni Reid
